Sims 3 Grim Reaper has moved in and lost his hood?

I asked him to move in and he said yes, but as soon as he moved in he became invisible and it was really annoying so I went on to plan outfit to see what the problem was and now he's wearing some stupid hat and stuff and I want his cloak back. I looked through all the options and I can't find it. Does anyone know where I can get it back?

Michael asks…

What does symbolize in this dream?

I had a dream that I was in an alley way in a city I didnt know, so basically I didnt know where I was. It was evening time, when the sun had just gone down. I was walking somewhere and there were two homeless men that were trying to get my attention, but I was walking normally away, hearing what they were saying, but not paying attention. Moments later, I am tying my shoe when I look up and the grim reaper is pushing me away from the two men, almost guiding me in another direction. So in a sense, it was trying to save me versus kill me, like they are supposed to do. I was able to see the face, still hooded with the staff, but its face was a skull with black skin(same color as his cloak) almost leather like. The reaper didnt talk, but rather just led me in another direction. Im still puzzled as to what this may symbolize. I had some issues sleeping months ago and Im just getting back on track and able to dream again, these dreams are more vivid than I have had before and I am actually able to remeber them. If anyone has to any idea what this dream could mean, any insight would be appreciated.

andre1 answers:

Maybe because you dont know where you were located you may be a little lost in your guidance in your own life. The homeless people to me represent almost a burden, grudge, or an unfinished task that seems to be nagging in the back of your mind. The grim reaper guiding you away from them could possibly be your procrastination or guilt trying to flee from your own feelings.

Mark asks…

How many yards of fabric do I need to make a cloak?

I'm about 5'2" and the cloak should be about ankle-length plus the hood. The cloak design is like something you would see on a grim reaper. It covers, like, the whole body. And, also, what kind of fabric should I use?

andre1 answers:

Depends on the design of the cloak, the width of the fabric, and the size of the wearer.

And some basic DIY: http://www.theweebsite.com/sewing/cloaks/

Avoid the temptation of velvet and satin cloaks unless you've been sewing for awhile. Also avoid patterns that call for a large amount of fabric to be gathered at the neckline and then a hood sewn to it, like the infamous Kinsale cloak: http://www.folkwear.com/207.html Also avoid fabrics that have a lot of stretch to them...stretch velvets, fleece, etc. Unless you're willing to let the cloak hang out before hemming -- the weight of the fabric really distorts the shape after a bit.

Stable wovens like wool flannel or wool worsted, twills, corduroy, brocades, etc all will work fine in cloaks. Choose something that does not hang in stiff folds if possible.

David asks…

Recurring Nightmare--Need Interpretation.?

Since I was seven, I've seen this nightmare at least four times a month.

Overall, that's about 288-320 times.

Here;

I'm jumping on the trampoline from my old house. I know it is my trampoline, but the objects around me are out of focus, and darkened. The trampoline suddenly disappears, and I land on my back. I know I'm in pain, but I'm not because I'm asleep. People in dark gray cloaks with a hood like the Grim Reaper's come up with spears. There are five. I look over at my family, whom once again I can not see clearly but just know it is my family. Laughter is coming from them as the dark-cloaked men raise their spears, and bring it down as I wake up.

I would like to know what is so urgent that this dream keep re-appearing for six years?

A coincidence-my back has been causing me a lot of pain in the past eight months, when that dream has kept coming back more often.
Death is Irresistible is a song from my friend's band....I didn't know it had hidden meaning. I actually don't really think about death a lot.

andre1 answers:

One opinion: your trampoline is your up-and-down dream ability (like an elevator, but you're in control); when it "suddenly disappears," you have returned to your physical body, and your dream is about to end, a kind of death in one world before "waking." Your family is laughing, a mixed kind of message perhaps; the "" symbology is your dream life ending, and your family is happy to receive you, and they're perhaps laughing because your previous dying will be a happy birth into loving family.

Betty asks…

Death in my novel??!?

Death has been a small character in popularities such as the Discworld Series, the Family Guy hit television show series, and many more. He's going to look pretty stereotypical, with black cloak, hood, and a scythe.

What else could I call him? Death is overused.
I was thinking Grim Reaper, but it sounds to aggressive, in its own way. Please don't suggest things like The Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse.

ALSO can someone give me a free reading on my past life like who i was and stuff now thnx :)

andre1 answers:

You had a weird dream. Everyone does sometimes. It means nothing. You just managed to scare yourself into thinking you're hearing things. Demons don't actually exist.

Everyone thinks they must be here for a reason at your age. Eventually you'll realize that like 99.999% of the world, your life will not have a huge impact, and that's fine.

There's no such thing as past lives. People are just making stuff up when they pretend to give you a past life regression. There's no evidence that anyone has lived other lives.

I personally don't believe that God would allow dead people (souls) to haunt the living. Sorry but I have never believed it. I don't know what you think you saw, but it wasn't a ghost.

Where can I get a Cloak ?

not a little kid one. I'm talking about a real proffesional looking cloak. where can I get one?
I'm not a Pegan or anything I just think they look cool. If any of you have seen the movie "Hot Fuzz" I'm looking for a cloak just like the one from that movie.

Design Toscano has a wonderful black opera cape that
could double as a grim reaper cloak. I have he same
one in green and it's gorgeous. The materials very nice

It's on sale now too. Http://www.designtoscano.com/product/code/SA0402.do

James asks…

Would people take the grim reaper seriously if he wore a cloak that was pink with yellow duckies all over it?

Would they?

andre1 answers:

I say yes actually, we have the impression that pink is pretty and innocent but if pink represented a figure of death than people would associate pink with duckies with well death. Fear is psychological not logical.

Carol asks…

Would today's trendy Grim Reaper swap the cloak and scythe for an Armani suit and rider-mower?

andre1 answers:

That would make a cool movie

Linda asks…

is it possible to take one piece of cloth and make a cloak out of it? with a hood?

i would like to have like a grim reaper cloak. with a hood that hung over my face so much you could barely see my face. --i would learn how to sew if you guys would tell me what pattern i would have to follow. (ive always wanted a cloak like that, dont ask me why)

thanks

andre1 answers:

Go to the pattern section of your local fabric store...they have
patterns for costumes and cloaks...
Read the pattern and get someone in the store to help you (or your mother/grandmother if they sew). It's easy as long as you have a sewing machine handy. If not, well hand sewing isn't fun and it takes a lot of practice.
Usually bolts of cloth only come in 44-45" widths...a cloak like you want will take a few yards of fabric...cutting, pinning, sewing, linning, finishing...so you'll need (if you don't have then already) needles, pins, fabric markers, frogs (for closing the cloak...those braided fabric chinese knots), fabric, linning fabric, sewing machine and lots of time...
and have fun !!!

Top Grim Reaper Tattoos Designs

Grim reaper tattoo are one of the most popular types of tattoo designs around. Although it symbolizes death, many people still love this particular type of tattoo design because it is also a rebellious symbol of defying death. That is the reason why so many hardcore bikers get the grim reaper tattoo because of their rebellious nature.

Although the grim reaper tattoos are particularly popular, it is still possible to customize and make your own grim reaper tattoo stand out from the rest. Here are some great ideas to add a "twist" to your grim reaper tattoos:

Rose Grim Reaper Tattoo

You can add more colors to your grim reaper tattoos by adding bright red roses to it. The color contrast of red and black will turn out very well and the same goes for purple roses or orange roses. Adding roses to the grim reaper tattoos can also play down the rebellious impression that the tattoo gives out.
Skull Grim Reaper Tattoo

If you are looking for the ultimate grim reaper tattoos designs that say "rebellious", the skull grim reaper tattoo is definitely a great choice. Both the skull and the grim reaper are symbols of death and rebel and if you add these two designs together, it will turn out as one evil tattoo.

Cartoon Grim Reaper Tattoo

Looking for something that is not too evil or rebellious? Then you should consider getting a more cartoonish grim reaper tattoo. These are the cuter versions of the grim reaper and definitely will not come across as evil to many people.

These are a few ideas to consider if you want to make your grim reaper tattoo unique. Besides the designs itself, you can also play around with the placement of your tattoo. But most grim reaper tattoos are considerably big in size, you have to choose a part of your body to fit the design in.

For example, you can place your grim reaper tattoo on your arm, your back and also at the side of your calves. These are all great places to get your grim reaper tattoos done because most grim reaper tattoos has quite a bit of detail, you would want to choose a part on your body so that the design will fit without compromising the details of the tattoos.

But ultimately, it is important to choose and tattoo a design only if you really like it. Think about how you will feel about the tattoo ten years later and consider if you will still love the tattoo as much. Although the technology allows you to remove your tattoo if you want to, it will definitely cost more and hurt even more! So think twice before you make your final decisions.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
    Crazy Idea: Yes or No?
I am so sick of it; for the past [I don't even remember how many] years I've been the grim reaper. Since this is my last trick-or-treat outing, I want something new.

One of my younger brother's friends last year put together a cool costume with a green hooded robe, a robot-like mask with light-up eyes and a voice changer, and a wizard scepter. I want to make my own crazy costume this year, too!

Looking through Halloween store ads, I came up with this:
1.) Use my old as the base
    2.) Put on a glowing robot-like visor
    3.) Wear boxing gloves
4.) Get some sort of voice changer
5.) Carry a scythe in one hand, and a bazooka+candy bag in the other (I'll make the bazooka myself, with PVC or something)
6.) A cape or jetpack for good measure

What do you think? I also need a good name for it that I can tell people when they ask who the heck I'm supposed to be.
It's not a garbage can, nor is it a junkman. It's way cooler than that. My current name idea is the "cyber reaper".
Also, tell me what things I could add on still.

    • ANSWER:
thats pretty cool. Call yourself the junkman!
I'm gonna be a pirate skeleton witch bride!

  2. QUESTION:
My son wants to be a grim reaper for halloween but how can we do this without a mask? (see Pic)?
I am so not good with putting that halloween make-up on.
He wants to be this but does not want to wear the mask.
They have this costume at wal-mart for 20 bucks so any ideals?

    http://www.buycostumes.com/Search_All_grim%20reaper/Category/129/Product/20368/ProductDetail.aspx

Actually the only make up i do wear when i wear it is eye shadow. I guess that is why i look so young, im 27 but everyone thinks i am 16.. lol
See what make up will do for you by not wearing it? It ages your skin

    • ANSWER:
do you know any really good face painters on your street? maybe you can ask them to put some grey and white face paint on it's face. It is good that he chose not to put the mask on. Because they can be hard to breath in and make you all sweaty!

Good luck, and have a !!!

  3. QUESTION:
    How is my holloween story?
Rodney and Jessica were in a costume shop, browsing the racks of witches' masks and zombie suits.
"Hey, here's a good one!" Jessica called, holding a grotesque mask in front of her face to show Rodney.
"Ew, gross, it looks like my grandma, but with more hair," Rodney said, making a face.
Jessica sighed and put the mask back.
"You just can't be happy, can you?" she asked.
"Hey, it's your mask. Go as whatever you want, don't let me decide," he responded. He was walking away from her now, looking left and right at the full-body costumes hanging from the shelves.
"Whatever," Jessica said, and walked the other way, towards the scary props section to check out some bloody plastic sickles.
Rodney walked down the hall slowly, looking like a ten-year-old faced with a candy buffet. He walked past the cloaks, robes, hoods, lions, other various animals, famous movie characters, and assorted random people, such as ninjas and pirates. A particularly gruesome thing caught his eye in the corner, an ugly green troll. Upon closer inspection, however, he found that the suit was very low-quality. He wouldn't be scaring anybody wearing that thing. He poked the troll's big ugly nose, and the whole thing fell over. It had been sitting on a box, he saw, and something was poking out of it. Curious, he opened the box and pulled out the contents.
It was some kind of death suit, as far as he could tell. The main body was a black cloak, and a black hood was pulled up over a hideous skull. The skull was deformed and misshapen, but that somehow added to the frightening effect. He reached his hand out to touch it, and found it rubbery and cold. Tentatively, he put it on, hiding his face behind the mask and under the hood, slipping his arms into skeleton-gloves that looked real. He picked up a metallic scythe, also in the box, and held it in what he thought was a menacing position. He peered into a mirror at the end of the aisle and jumped a little at his reflection. He honestly looked like the messenger of death, eyes black pieces of burnt coal, nose just two slits in his skinless face. He took the costume off and searched for his sister. He found her back in the masks section, looking again at witches.
"Hey. Ready to go?" he asked, startling her a little. She almost dropped the hag's mask she had been about to put on.
"Just a sec," she said, and slipped on the mask. Rodney looked at her carefully, studying. It was a pretty good mask; fairly realistic, creepily scary, and it would go great with the small crooked sickle she had also picked out.
"Looks great, now let's go," he said.
"Really?" she asked, taking the mask off. "Great. Thanks."
They carried their items to the checkout line, where they waited behind a stout old man who was buying candy, supposedly for trick-or-treaters but most likely for himself. When the large man had finished, Jessica placed her scythe and mask on the counter. The clerk ran her scanner over the bar codes of each, and the total came up to almost twenty dollars.
"A bit expensive, isn't it?" Jessica asked, handing the clerk the money.
"The best," the clerk replied. "Worth every penny."
"Would you still say that if you didn't work here?" Jessica asked, smiling as she took her small bag of stuff.
The clerk smiled back a little, and gestured to Rodney.
Rodney placed the costume and scythe on the counter and watched as the clerk searched them for price tags. Unable to find any, he called on the intercom:
"Price check for..." He looked at the face and scythe. "Grim Reaper costume and scythe accessory, please."
A few seconds later, a reply came. "Grim Reaper plus scythe? .95."
"Okay, thank you," the clerk said, and rang up the total. Rodney paid, but couldn't help feeling that he was being charged for the wrong item. He had seen a Grim Reaper costume earlier, and it had looked a lot cheesier and probably cost a lot less. The scythe, too. You could barely tell this one was plastic.
"Thank you," Rodney said, and he and Jessica walked out into the parking lot.

"Are you ready yet?" Jessica called up the stairs impatiently.
"Just a minute!" Rodney called back, his voice slightly muffled by the death mask he wore. He studied himself in the mirror. He looked scary, all right. Very scary.
He walked downstairs, showing Jessica his costume for the first time. She made a face, much like the one he had given her when she had shown him the witch's mask that looked like his grandma.
"Ew, it's disgusting," she said, looking sick. Then she laughed. "It's great! It looks real, too. I bet you'll win the costume contest, if there is one."
"You think?" he asked, voice still muffled a little. She would never tell him this, but she felt better when he spoke. She felt better knowing that under the horrible costume, it was still her brother.
"Definitely," she responded confidently. "Now let's go or we'll be late," she said, and they got into the car and drove away.

There was no costume contest at the party

    • ANSWER:
      lol, no costume contest.

      it's good.
